Our Mission

Jyoti means light. Jivanam means life.

We exist to bring light into the lives of those who need it most. Through sustainable programs and the dedication of our volunteers, we nourish, educate, and empower communities across South Africa — honouring the belief that one small light can dispel a great deal of darkness.

A monthly partnership supporting Sai Food Kitchen with R2,000 and hands-on seva in vegetable cleaning and cooking.

Monthly Feeding Seva

Through our partnership with Sai Food Kitchen, Jyoti Jivanam contributes R2,000 each month and volunteers our time every month to help prepare nourishing meals for communities in need. Our members assist with vegetable cleaning and cooking seva as part of this ongoing monthly feeding programme.

Food Hamper Distribution

Our flagship program distributing complete food parcels to families in need. Tax-deductible donations of R300 provide a complete hamper.

Deepavali Festival Giving

Aligned with UN SDG Goal 2: Zero Hunger, we celebrate Deepavali by spreading light and hope to destitute communities.

Community Partnerships & Collaboration

Collaborating with NGOs, CBOs, and government departments to strengthen impact and reach more families in poverty.
